Ongava Lodge is a luxurious property, located on one of the largest private reserves in Namibia - the 30,000 hectare Ongava Reserve - on the southern boundary of Etosha National Park.
It consists of 14 air-conditioned, brick and thatch chalets with en suite bathroom. Communal facilities include a hilltop lounge and dining area, both under thatch, together with a pool offering spectacular views over the plains below. There is also a floodlit waterhole, as well as a well-placed hide, ideal for those interested in wildlife photography.
Wildlife activities include vehicle safaris in both Ongava Reserve and Etosha, walking safaris and night drives, and the lodge is particularly famous for offering a chance to track rhino on foot (Ongava has resident white and black rhino).
Its sister camp, Little Ongava, has three suites, each with a plunge pool – perfect for a group of friends. There is also a tented camp with eight comfortable tents and a small pool.
